Senior Operations & Logistics Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Our client is looking for a Senior Operations & Logistics Coordinator to manage and oversee operational and logistical processes, ensuring smooth coordination of artwork handling, shipping, and client services while safeguarding confidential information and supporting strategic business objectives.

This role is a maternity cover with the potential to become a permanent role. 

 
Key Responsibilities

• Operational & Logistics Management
• Coordinate movement of artwork across the business for all pre-sale, exhibition, appointment and stock purposes
• Register all incoming artwork accurately and efficiently
• Arranging photography and framing
• Liaise with suppliers, agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and secure delivery of artworks
• Manage warehouse operations, including stock control and damage reporting
• Oversee transfers between galleries and storage facilities
• Maintain accurate records
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of artwork transportation both internally and externally
• Cross-Department Collaboration
• Work closely with Warehouse team to streamline operations
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff on shipping and logistics best practices

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

• Proven experience in fine art logistics (minimum 5 years preferred)
• Very strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in MS Office

Desirable:

• Understanding of exhibition planning, artwork handling and hanging procedures
• Understanding of framing styles and processes
• Keen interest in art and the art industry
