About the Role

Our client brings forward a fresh, highly efficient, and integrated approach to global fine art logistics, harnessing the Group’s far-reaching network and highly skilled team of specialists. They are the trusted partner for renowned institutions, known for their bespoke logistics solutions that reflect the complex demands of the art world without compromising on supreme privacy and industry-leading standards. Their international clientele span museums, galleries, private collectors, auctioneers, and art fairs amongst others.

They are looking for a General Manager to join their expanding team, based in West London. The role could eventually transition into a Managing Director position.

Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for the P&L of the department, including all key decisions for the Fine Art business structure.
  • Run forecasts, targets, bonuses and spending targets.
  • Lead the department in exemplary standard of service, including performing the role of the face for the division.
  • Develop relationships with clients, suppliers and other cross business staff.
  • Motivate and manage staff to form a coherent team.

About you:

  • At least five years’ experience in similar role.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in customs procedures, particularly for Fine Art.
  • Strong Managerial Skills and ability to problem solve on a regular basis.
  • Experience of operations movements for artworks.
  • Previous Operations management knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain good vendor and customer relations.
  • Possible existing relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Proficiency of problem-solving, handling any issues and customer queries.
  • Punctual and with high attention to detail.

Salary: £60,000 – 80,000+ DOE
