About the Role
Our client is looking for an Import/Export Coordinator to work within the shipping team to develop and improve the ambitions of the department.
Specific responsibilities include:
- To assist the team and the clients with Export and Import procedures as required.
- To keep up to date on all HMRC and other legislation and company procedures, to complete all necessary documentation and keep all records accurately.
- To ensure that all practical arrangements for export/import shipments are made; liaising with clients, working with transport, packing and storage departments to this end.
- To complete Export/Import documentation for Airfreight and when required European Trucks including ICS and GVMS filing.
- Assist with exhibition and art fair shipments. Ensuring all quotations are made within a timely manner.
- Ensuring all shipments are invoiced in timely manner.
- Ensuring all clients are kept informed as to all stages of their shipments and receive all relevant copy documentation.
- Where necessary and when requested by client, to oversee other aspects of shipping processes including local / storage.
Person specification:
- Ideally somebody with a background in the arts or interest in gallery services.
- Ideally (but not essential) some knowledge of the customs/warehouse operating system (additional training can be provided)
- Need to be a team player and be proactive

Schedule: Full-time, onsite in Hounslow
