About the Role

Our client has a dedicated division that specialises in fine art logistics. The company provides a comprehensive range of services for the transportation, handling, and storage of fine art, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and other valuable objects.

They understand the unique needs and requirements of the fine art industry, and work closely with artists, galleries, collectors, and museums to provide tailored solutions for each client's specific needs. They have extensive experience in managing complex and high-value art logistics projects, both nationally and internationally.

They are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Junior Fine Art Operations Coordinator. The candidate’s job role would involve supporting the day-to-day operations of their Fine Art department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, excellent communication skills, and strong project management abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the movement of cargo: this includes scheduling shipments, arranging transportation, and ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition.
  • Maintaining records and documentation: this includes maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and other logistics-related information. This includes tracking shipments, updating databases, and preparing reports for management.
  • Communicating with customers: this includes communicating with customers regarding shipment status, delivery times, and any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
  • Data entry and record-keeping: this includes entering data into computer systems and maintaining accurate records of all logistics operations.
  • Managing paperwork: this includes preparing and filing all necessary paperwork related to logistics operations, including bills of lading, customs forms, and shipping manifests.
  • Assisting with any other general office tasks and functions.

Requirements:

  • A keen interest in the logistics of fine art
  • Strong multitasking skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, artists, and internal teams
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software is preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to complete adhoc tasks, as well as work some evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time, onsite (Mon- Fri) (40 hrs per week)

Salary: £25k-35k DOE
