About the Role
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Candidate must have experience in selling high value Art Work. Knowledge of Modern Indian Art is ideal but not a necessity.
- Candidate will be responsible for driving Sales through galleries and sales team from within and outside India.
- Must be a great leader who will make salespeople accountable and deliver results.
- Candidate will act as an ambassador and spokesperson for key art events.
- Build an international network of contacts including international galleries, museums, curators and fairs.
- Develop a sales strategy which builds and maintains relationships with both local and international collectors.
- Manage day-to-day operations and team to oversee loans, commissions, exhibitions and sales.
- Oversee the implementation of systems and ensure their smooth functioning.
Key Pointers
* Preferably an expat.
* Gallery Directors in US and India will report into this position.
* Candidate will report in to Managing Director / CEO.
Salary: US $200-300k plus commission
Based: full-time on site in India (relocation is a must for candidates who are based abroad)
Relocation package available.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Korean Art Market with a comprehensive network of clients. They will be goal-driven, energetic, strategic and well-organised with an ability to implement a sales plan to drive revenue growth as well as manage and develop the team in South Korea.
The role is an addition to their existing team and can either be based within the gallery if the candidate is already based in Seoul, or can be worked remotely if the candidate is based elsewhere in Asia, with at least 6 travel dates to Korea over the year.
