About the Role

Our client is a contemporary artist based in Geneva. She is seeking an experienced and well-connected Art Agent to support the next phase of her career. Following a period of reduced visibility due to personal commitments, the artist is now re-engaging with the international art market and is focused on securing gallery representation and placing existing works with collectors.

This is a targeted, results-driven role suited to an agent with strong relationships across European, UK, US, and/or Middle Eastern galleries.

About the Artist

  • Swiss-based contemporary artist specialising in painting and drawing with an international exhibition history across Europe and the US
  • Exhibited in Geneva, Helsinki, Atlanta, New York, and beyond
  • Works held in private collections internationally
    • Pricing: CHF 6,600 (1m x 1m works)
    • Up to CHF 12,600 for larger works (recent US sale).

Practice explores light, perception, and the relationship between environment and creativity, with a new body of work emerging from research into nature-based artistic processes.

Current Position of the Artist

  • Strong existing inventory of works available for sale
  • Preparing to launch an online shop
  • Recently completed a residency in Costa Rica focused on art and permaculture
  • Entering a new phase of production inspired by relocation closer to nature

The purpose of the role:

  • Secure gallery representation in key markets, particularly: UK (e.g. White Cube), Europe (e.g. Perrotin, Thaddaeus Ropac), US, Middle East (Dubai / Abu Dhabi)
  • Identify and initiate relationships with galleries aligned with the artist’s practice and positioning
  • Facilitate placement of existing works with collectors
  • Advise on market positioning, pricing strategy, and gallery fit
  • Support visibility strategy, including Instagram growth and audience development
  • Assist in structuring sales to fund upcoming artistic projects

About you:

  • Proven track record placing artists in reputable galleries
  • Strong network across UK, European, US, and/or Middle Eastern art markets
  • Experience working with mid-career contemporary artists
  • Commercially astute with an understanding of collector markets
  • Comfortable working on a short-term, project-based contract

Salary: Fixed fee (short-term contract)

Potential for extension or future collaboration based on results
