About the Role

We are looking for experienced Salespeople with auction house experience to join the team in a busy Contemporary gallery in Central London. The ideal candidate will be someone with a mature and calm demeanour who is adept at interacting with clients. 

  • Proven art sales experience and able to meet targets
  • Excellent people skills and client-facing
  • Hands on nature (keen to maintain the gallery and keep it clean, neat and tidy with minimum supervision)
  • Potentially open to curating and administrative tasks
  • Team player
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to sell remotely through emails, phone etc.
  • Should have at least 2+ years of relevant experience 
  • BA & MA in a relevant discipline such as Fine Art or History of Art is beneficial
  • Experience working in an Auction House in roles including bidding and/or business development
  • Willing to work on Saturdays and Sundays (according to rota, but no more than 1-2 times a month)

 

Salary: Basic DOE + Commission
