Financial Controller

Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join an established international gallery in London and oversee the gallery’s financial operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Keep track and oversee day to day expenses (using Xero for accounts and reporting and ArtLogic for invoicing)
• Capture and allocate all bill to relevant codes on Xero – requesting missing invoices from registrar and other relevant staff members
• Reconcile all transactions and multi-currency bank accounts in Xero
• Review aged payables and aged receivables
• Pay bills via Barclays.net
• Raise sales invoices via ArtLogic with appropriate invoice numbers (dependent on sales staff).
• Assist external accountants with VAT return
• Monthly management accounts
• Assist external accountants with corporate accounts
• Assist external accountants with payroll (keeping track of sales commissions)
• Assist external accountants in preparation of year-end accounts
• Check and respond to relevant emails as required
• Obtain rental statements and post to Xero (under supervision of external accountants)
• Review relevant export and shipping documents for sales made during the quarter
• Quarterly stock take accounting for sales made of inventory that is owned by the Director
